Drive

THRILLERS
Drive is a film about a man who is a very talented driver, to the point its all he know how to do. He gets involved with gangs trying to break his friends husbands contract.

This Thriller is one of the best I've seen in a long while. It uses tense moments to spur the viewer on to find out what happens later on. it invlolves un expected twists and intriguing scenes. It also uses the main character as a main interest to the viewers as hes very strange. We see the film from his perspective but we know nothing about him. this makes us watch on. The main character is seen as socially awkward and almost like a kid in a mans body who is unsure of the world, or so he appears. This intrigues the viewers to find out more about him.

In this scene we see a tense getaway scene, that fits in well for an opening scene. typicall of thrillers we start of in what seem like an un related scene, to almost just show you what the film is about but also not give anything away about the story line. just to set the veiwer up for the main storyline, which seems quite effective to me. This scene creates tension by trying not to be found out smarting the enemy, and then nearly being on the brink of being found, them racing away and then hiding.

Pulp Fiction Analysis

This Clip is typical of a gangster film. An interrogation scene, due to owed money is very common.
A terrified suspect who knows what he's done awaiting certain death or injury is also very stereotypical of this genre. There is also an informant who has led the interrogators to believe this person has done wrong.
Stereotypically there are always two hit men that come to kill them, Both usually well dressed in suits carrying guns and large ego's
There is often a sense of suspense and in predictability of what interrogators will do. You often sympathise with the person who is being interrogated. But people ultimately wait and concentrate on the interrogators or gangsters to see what bad ass thing they will do next. Especially if if there our hints of a back comedy in there, which is very common of this genre.
Another stereotype of this genre is the non chronological order of the storyline, for example the film will start at the end of the story and then go straight back to a point and work its way back to the epic ending which then the ending will progress further. The film will also follow the stories of many different characters, there wont be one main protagonist. and then theses characters may meet at the end and these stories would then intertwine with one another.

Audience Profile of Snatch continiued

Pop violence provides the backdrop for this offbeat crime thriller featuring Benicio Del Toro as Frankie Four Fingers, who pulls off a massive diamond heist only to set in motion a chain of events that brings together small-time boxing promoter Turkish (Jason Statham), big-time villain Bullet Tooth Tony (Vinnie Jones) and hard-as-nails gypsy Mickey O'Neill (Brad Pitt). Also featured among the characters are assorted jewelers, pawnbrokers and thugs, an impossible-to-kill Russian and a dog. Of the story directed by Guy ("LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS") Ritchie: "While one can question the ethics of these over violent movies, one can't question the expert craftsmanship that has gone into making this particular cocktail of violence."

This would appeal to a mostly mail audeice ass it involves lots of violence blood and criminals and boxing which stereotypically follow the intrests of men
